Mystery Mini derivative

Who can tell me more about this car?
It is supposedly named Mini Gnat, and, according to the DVLA, it was registered in june 1991, only to be sorn in december the next year. The ad is from an old magazine; the number is not working anymore.

This car is the 1973-1975 GNAT Sports 1000, manufactured in England in the Midlands, its an original kitcar and was wedge-shaped buggy type of car or a convertible car depends on the style it has, with Mini A-Series 998cc engine. Made for a while by a maker called GNAT CARS available only about 3 were made in the 1970s. Marco Santos Algarve Portugal

  6. Hi Marco, thanks very much for your reply. I do not know the Gnat Sports 1000 but it sounds like an interesting one. But could it be a different Gnat than this one? I think the styling of the car on the picture above looks more 1980s/1990s, and the 1991 registration could confirm that, too...
