5 Years of Maximum Mini - the weblog

Well, well. It's 5 years ago today that I decided to do something with the archive and start a weblog. In that time I have posted 595 articles and a multitude of photographs. Some great, some perhaps not so great, but all with my passion for the Mini based car in mind. Some cars long lost were found back and others were successfully sold through this page. Books were made and sold, people came and went and the first Mk1 Performance / Maximum Mini Action Day at Blyton Park went into history in 2014 - look out for the third on Saturday April 30th and Sunday May 1st 2016. Maximum Mini 3 - the last book in this line - should be a long way by that time.

I haven't counted the hours going into this web page, but be sure there have been quite a few. Mind you: it has given me lots of pleasure, although sometimes I do wonder why I do it, and for who. So please do drop me a line if you have feedback, good or bad, as this is one of the main drives that keeps me going. I should have plenty of material to carry on for another 5 years.

UPDATE October 2020: And Maximum Mini's 10th anniversary is celebrated with some special features. Up to 15 years! Click here.

  3. When I realize the time I spend looking for informations only about Mosquito and Triad 3 wheelers, I can't imagine the time you spend with all your work on so many Mini-based cars!!! Congratulations! You have become THE reference for all Mini-based cars in the world! :)

  6. Well done Jeroen on five years of Maximum Mini meanderings, long may it continue, there's lots more to found out there I'm sure! Hope to see you at Blyton Park in May where we may have a belated 50th Birthday of the Minisprint (how did we forget that at Combe in October???) plus there's lots more 50th anniversaries coming up I'm sure with Unipower GT, Broadspeed GT, there's going to be quite a list in the next year or two!

  7. Congratulations on 5 years Jeroen!! No one could call this blog anything other than interesting with all the crazy creations you keep springing on us. Also a highly valuable resource for owners and enthusiasts of these vehicles, many of which may very well have disappeared into total obscurity without this blog. Keep up the good work!

  8. Congratulation Jeroen on 5 years of Maximum Mini. A Blog that has kept me entertained and well informed with all things ‘Mini Derivative’. Also a big thank you for deeming my blue ‘Jimini 2’ fit for inclusion in Maximum Mini II, I still feel very honoured and I look forward to Maximum Mini III to complete my set.
Please keep up this good work.
