Mystery Mini derivative (46)

Another mystery Mini derivative and yet another autocross Special. No information is known about this one, so feel free to help with anything. People, location, details. All I recognize is the A-series engine and the Dunlop wheels. Most of this autocross Special is also still shrouded in mystery, as is this one and this one...

UPDATE 21 January 2021: Correct picture source now added. Have a look at Jalopydays for much more pictures like this. Thank you Shirley for allowing me to use it. The car is not an autocross racer but an autograss racer.

  1. I think this is an Autograss special, not Autocross. I did Autocross in the 80's in a modified Riley Elf and that was then, an RAC-MSA sanctioned series unlike Autograss which is run by the National Autograss Sport Association Ltd.

No cars I remember in Autocross ever had that numbering system but it is indicative of Autograss and the SV would indicate Severn Valley Autograss Club, formed in 1964:

You might want to ask them if they recognise the picture.
