Derelict kit car collection finally up for sale

I have written about a bunch of Mini based kit cars that is looking really sorry for itself in Great Harwood some times before (here). I was also told more than once that the owners weren't interested at all in selling any of them, while they supposedly had more Mini based cars than just these, too.

But just under a year since the last sighting of them on these pages, it seems that they are to be offered for sale after all. An ad for an Ashley Sportiva sports car has appeared on a well known auction website, stating 'Other vehicles coming for sale on Ebay soon' and showing one or two of the Stimsons from the collection plus a bonus Mini Marcos with a GTM Rossa in the background, too. About time to share some good pictures of the cars that Peter Skitt took last autumn. Let's see what will happen to them. See the ad here.

Stimson Mini Bug is one of two on site

It has been vandalized and has been left in the open for many years

The other Mini Bug is a CS+2. It wears its hood and looks to have survived slightly better

It was last on the road in 1994, while being registered on a 1982 plate

Its Mini engine is still there and all looks to be complete, too

Another Mini based car in the collection is this green Siva Buggy

Again, it has been vandalized badly. Would somebody want to restore it?

Its engine is also still in place

A Stimson Scorcher is a rare vehicle. There is one in this eclectic collection

Supposedly first registered in 1993, it will need lots of work before it will be on the road again

More Mini based cars are coming up for sale soon. Among them what seems to be a modified Mini Marcos Mk3 and GTM Rossa Mk2

  1. Would love to see more pics of that Mini Marcos. Regardless, I hope they all find good (dry!) homes.
